Banned books (con't.)

Okay so im back on the topic of banned books...now if you ask me I'd want to find a list of banned books, just so i could buy a copy....If it is a classic, and the book was banned in a public school, then i would hunt down that school's board and personally argue the reasons for banning the book. For instance: Mark Twain's: Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was banned in schools for using the word "nigger." Yea, it is a racial slurr....and yes racial slurrs are wrong....BUT WAIT! Let us not forget: That [articular book WAS WRITTEN IN THE EIGHTTEEN HUNDRES YOU IDIOTS!!!! Back then (1881) words like "nigger" weren't considered slurrs of any kind, in fact, back then.....THERE WERE NO SUCH THINGS AS SLURRS! Because that was more than one hundred years ago, the law was differant....slaves were still being used, and there was no problem calling an African american "nigger." So if it were truly upto me....I'd take that list of banne dbooks...and open a library JUST for those books that are on the banned list and I'd allow people to take them out....AND if anyone tries to stop me I'll just remind them of one of the original ammendments set forth in the bill of rights! YOU MAY WANT TO READ THAT PART ABOUT FREEDOM OF PRESS!
